There is something strange about telling a 14 year old that a family member has died.

It’s an awkward age where physical contact has become limited, feelings are hidden and priorities have begun to shift.

The tears and the hugs make you realize that no matter what age your child is, there will always be certain moments when they are still your baby.

Preflight

I recently had the honor of sitting on the panel for AAF Spokane’s ‘Preflight’ program. An excellent event that gives local design students the opportunity to have their work reviewed by local ‘professionals’. It was a great event. I saw some good work, lots of bad work and one portfolio that really stuck out to me.

His name is Tyreil Poosri. He is an interactive programmer/designer studying at Eastern Washington University. His programming, concepts and overall enthusiasm blew me away.

I encourage anyone looking for an interactive employee to snatch this kid up right away.
